Sztójay, Döme (1883-1946) General, diplomat, prime minister and minister of foreign affairs (March 22, 1944 - August 29, 1944). Hungarian ambassador to Berlin from 1935. After the German occupation of the country he became the head of the collaborating Hungarian government, therefore he was responsible for the antisemitic measures, the ghettoisation and deportation of the countryside Jews. After the war he was tried and executed. |
